Sunday doubles 2011

Sunday dubs at Hyzer Creek. Meet at noon.

Starts Sept 18

Doubles is a casual way to play organized disc golf and get to know other experienced players in the area, without the formality and drama of playing sanctioned tournaments. In doubles, the rules are relaxed and the atmosphere is more jovial.

In dubs, disc golfers are divided into A pool (expert) and B pool (beginners). One from each group form doubles partners. Both players in a pair tee off and the better throw is used as the lie, for each stroke. Only one player needs to putt out.

Every player gives $5 into a pool. Winning pair or pairs divide up 100% of the pot. Usually pays out to the top half.

Just come as you are, don't worry about your skill level. Beginners will be paired with advanced players so everybody has a chance to win. Don't even worry about knowing any of the other players, doubles is a way for local disc golfers to get to know each other.
